Kinaesthetic Play Area

Kinaesthetic learning is a unique way of learning through physical activities and free play. Children at our school are encouraged to participate in all the outdoor games to improve their motor skills, interpersonal skills and physical fitness. The various international standard play equipment we have are specially designed for children to enhance their kinaesthetic skills. They can slide, swing, climb the mountain, play soccer and hopscotch. We also propose to set up a junior sports academy at the school premises to inculcate a love for sports at an early age.

Indoor Games

Indoor games are a great way of strengthening the interpersonal and social skills of every student. It gives a child an opportunity to share, laugh, have fun as well as experiment, imagine and interact. Some of the indoor games that children play at Boond are – ‘Simon Says’, ‘Puzzle Time’, ‘Word Play’, ‘Building Blocks’ etc. These are quiet, calming games which help our tiny tots to develop concentration and vitalize their listening skills. Such games are aimed at enhancing their critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities too.

They discover ways and means to interact and connect with each other through songs and rhymes thus enhancing their communication and listening skills, motor skills and social skills. Higher-order thinking skills, such as analysis, synthesis and evaluation, are also developed through musical activities such as pitch matching, chanting, moving and tapping, humming the melody or singing without words like la,la,la,la.that promote self-expression

Dance

Dance is not only a fun activity but also a great form of exercise and children love the feeling of moving to the tunes played for them. Children at Boond – The Foundation School are encouraged to groove to music in order to stimulate their brain, build their balancing skills and enhance emotional development. As we support children’s innate desire to create, express, and perform, we build on their natural curiosities, spark their imaginations, and provide opportunities for verbal and physical expression. We teach them free style and semi- classical but their favourite is the freeze dance. Every child in our school gets to perform his/her favourite dance steps at the Annual Function.

Drama

Children are great actors and grow emotionally, socially, creatively and cognitively through drama. You must have witnessed it yourself and even captured their expressions and antics on your cameras. At Neev- The Foundation School we believe in honing their artistic skills and motivate our children to dream, dress-up, play and enact. Dramatization facilitates language development, literacy, creative-thinking and social skills. We provide a platform for them to bring stories and rhymes to life through dramatic play. Our tiny tots are encouraged to express themselves both verbally and through facial expression and body language – the key to making them better communicators.
